Cancer Hair Care with Pantene

Cancer Hair Care is an amazing charity that specialises in helping women deal with hair loss from cancer related treatment. Losing their hair is a profoundly traumatic experience for many women and this charity works hard to help women through this difficult time by providing tips, support and guidance.

Pantene's Classic Care have partnered with Cancer Hair Care, donating 5pence from each one sold directly to the charity. Classic Care shampoos and conditioners can be purchased in Tescos and other stores nationwide. You can also make a contribution to the charity on their Just Giving page here.

Thank you all so much! xxx

Spread The Glove with Bliss

As you all know October is breast cancer awareness month and I am happy to say that many of my favourite beauty brands have been releasing special products to raise money for breast cancer charities. One of my favourites are these cute little pink gloves from Bliss that help to keep your hands well moisturised and pampered.
These gloves are different to any I have previously tried as they contain a hydrating gel lining with olive oil and grape seed oils to quench parched palms, whilst vitamin E smoothes and firms hands. They can be used with or without hand cream, but even after 20 mins you will notice the difference as your hands will feel so much smoother and softer.

These gloves are £36 and can be used up to 50 times. When purchasing online here don't forget to enter PINK10 at checkout to get your FREE High Intensity Hand Cream 30ml!

STEAMCREAM: Love for Japan

STEAMCREAM is a cult, award winning product that can be found in many a celebrity makeup artist's kit. Made with fresh, natural ingredients fused with a shot of steam it is a multi-purpose cream that can be used to soften and moisturise the face and body. With an impressive list of ingredients including orange blossom water, almond oil, cocoa butter, lavender essential oil, rose absolute and neroli essential oil it is suitable for all skin types.

Holding a strong tie to their origins this Anglo-Japanese brand launched the LOVE FOR JAPAN project on the 11th of March, exactly a year after the devastating earthquake and tsunami hit Japan. The project will be an on‐going fund raising initiative to provide sustainable and committed support to the people of Japan. It will donate 100% of the funds raised through the sale of the red LOVE FOR JAPAN tin to help the people still coping with the awful effects of this tragedy.
If you have wanted to try STEAMCREAM and see it's benefits for yourself then now is the perfect time! The special LOVE FOR JAPAN tins are £12.95 and available exclusively here.

Have you ever tried STEAMCREAM? Are you tempted to pick up a tin for a good cause? xxx

Fashion for Charity with Sevenly

Help change a life with Sevenly this week at: http://svnly.org/OrphanedChild

This week's campaign - Love Without Boundaries Foundation is a worldwide group of volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of orphaned and impoverished children in China.

In China, thousands of babies are abandoned due to serious birth defects or life-threatening medical conditions. Without love, care, and medical attention, these children will never have a chance of becoming adopted by a loving family.
Love Without Boundaries cares for these children by providing facial reconstructive or life-saving surgeries. Without these surgeries, these children have little hope for adoption. This week, your purchase help provide the funds for a surgery that will help a child become adopted by a loving family!

Every day 5,760 more children become orphans, so it would be amazing if you could help by purchasing one of these t-shirts for just $22.

Thank you xxx

Rollasoles for Red Nose Day

This year, Rollasole are doing their bit by donating profits received from their Paint the Town Red roll-up ballet pumps, to Comic Relief.

I have a similar pair, which I refer to as my contingency shoes. They are perfect to slip in your bag for a day of shopping or dancing, especially if you are wearing heels and know your tootsies will be tired before the day is through! For just £6.95 each why not paint the town red for charity?

River Island Jeans Swap

What a brilliant idea! The lovely people of Liverpool were definitely brave in bearing all for charity!

To celebrate Denim Week River Island held a fantastic event last Friday for charity Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. Over 150 locals stripped off in the street, donating their old jeans or trousers, and walking away wearing a brand new pair of River Island jeans. Those who took part in the swap were encouraged to donate their old jeans to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, and over 112 items were collected for the charity on the day.

Max Factor Kiss Art - Lipfinity Liptints

I have always been a lover of liptints. As my lips are naturally pigmented I find them very easy to use and love the fact that they stay put all day through wind, snow and many a cocktail ;). I was therefore curious to try the new Max Factor Lipfinity Liptints that come in a handy felt tip form, and excited to introduce you all to the Kiss Art charity campaign in association with Macmillan Cancer support.

Max Factor are hosting an online auction at Ebay’s charity site (www.ebay.co.uk/ebayforcharity) on the 28th March 2011 where full proceeds will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. Max Factor will have its own dedicated area on the Ebay site and the auction will last at least one week. The auction will feature artist, illustrator and celebrity pieces of art with a fun twist - all the pieces are created using Max Factor Lipfinity Liptint pens!

Although I wouldn't describe myself as inherently 'artistic' I have always loved art and to some extent that passion has transformed into makeup. Though when the bf offered to make me an illustration I was curious to see what he could create with two liptint pens! I should have really known... though I assure you I did not model for this boudoir scene lol. Let me know what you think of his imagination... hmm I mean design ;).
So they work on paper but what about the lips? The colours I was sent are perhaps not the ones I would necessarily have chosen, but I have enjoyed wearing both of them. The lip tints smell delicious and are very easy to apply as the product is dispensed through the applicator in just the right quantity, no drips.
The hard edges of the pen also make the application accurate and help to define the lips. I first tried this on the tube and surprisingly managed to 'colour within the lines', which unfortunately isn't always the case for my shaky hands when it comes to lipsticks!
Without flash - no. 04 on the left and 08 on the right.
With flash - no. 04 on the left and 08 on the right.

Longevity is great as with any lip tint, though I did find them a little drying. Although I like the matte, natural effect of a lip tint I often reapply balm on top throughout the day, which does make the colour fade a little faster, but gives a glossy appearance and much needed moisture to the lips.

A quick sweep of number 4.

This photo highlights the fact that your lips must be in good condition to wear these or any other lip stain. Mine were a little chapped this evening after a day of sitting under the office aircon and braving the chilly wind outside, so you can see some of the colour has collected in the creases. This can easily be fixed with a little lipbalm, but just something to be aware of ;).

Have you tried Max Factor's Liptints? Are you a fan of lip stains? I do hope you all stop by Max Factor's Macmillan Cancer Support auction (www.ebay.co.uk/ebayforcharity) on the 28th of  March! Good luck and happy bidding! xxx
