Logging into this blog after an extended leave feels like finally

While being absent from this blog and YouTube I have still

As a very brief life update of the last 3 years… After
moving and refurbishing our new house I finished redecorating pretty speedily
in preparation for our new arrival. Though I feel like the house needs an
update already due to its intensive use! I had my son Joshua in January 2017. We
had a tough first year following a long (73 hours!) complicated birth, colic,
recurrent mastitis and 15 months of intense sleep deprivation, but he is wonderful

and the absolute love of my life! Maxie is now 11- he has had a few tummy
issues, but is doing well and has been the most patient big (cat) brother we
could have hoped for! I went back to work full time in Jan 2018 and have been
doing my best to balance the spinning plates of toddler, career, childcare,
home, husband, friends, family... the list seems endless. I rarely feel like I
have the right balance, but I know where my priorities are.<o:p></o:p></div>

are health (especially in terms of fertility, which has been a really difficult
journey for us), toddler behaviour/ nutrition/development/activities and still
having a little fun thrown in so I am not a slave to the routine - which can be
beauty, fashion, self-care, fitness, food, fun places to visit. <o:p></o:p></div>

With the Summer months (slowly) approaching I always look forward to switching up my make up routine with brighter colours and lighter textures. So when the new <a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=3100&awinaffid=111822&clickref=&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.houseoffraser.co.uk%2FUrban%2BDecay%2BNaked%2BSkin%2BOne%2BDone%2FD676584%2Cdefault%2Cpd.html">Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector</a> was sent to me for review I was immediately excited to try it out.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYj-h18tor5HwVBm4anfPIEsuT3qSdB1iAw1ULuuSk8rkZ0EGohviqKga8mnpM9xwOKscAwE6L4YUsIw89MYyxIJ_5C5lBK_muVzx7vCpZgM13EH-AmGkoo72TuzXRK-OnuPI1euQyOgE/s1600/one.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYj-h18tor5HwVBm4anfPIEsuT3qSdB1iAw1ULuuSk8rkZ0EGohviqKga8mnpM9xwOKscAwE6L4YUsIw89MYyxIJ_5C5lBK_muVzx7vCpZgM13EH-AmGkoo72TuzXRK-OnuPI1euQyOgE/s400/one.jpg" width="261" /></a></div>
<br />
One & Done is a new base in the Urban Decay range that fits within it's Naked line up. It's an oil-free, hybrid complexion cream that aims to instantly and completely blur imperfections and even out skintone for a natural result. The innovative, lightweight formula provides coverage, hydration, and optical blurring. It aims to transform the look of your skin with light-diffusing spheres so that flaws seem to disappear. Over time it also aims to help pores appear smaller and skin to look noticeably firmer and more radiant. The formula is infused with nourishing ingredients (including peptides, vitamins and moisturizers). <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(One pump in shade Light)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
This product has very light coverage so rather than foundation I would compare it to a tinted moisturiser, BB or CC cream. While it adds a hint of colour it's blurring properties also help to hide imperfections and pores leaving the skin with a soft glow. It melts into the skin beautifully, feels very lightweight and looks extremely natural, almost as if you are not wearing makeup at all. I think it would work well on all skin types as it feels hydrating, but sinks into the skin quickly so it doesn't look too shiny or dry too matte.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhON6ZiTz29ppjVmD1-DlRE3N7rX-nN2fp4r4HM72ZYBnoTl0_Sk9sgDh2WNA8iSl7peHawL1LCAZMvBWr_fZvRXTuUUwdwT-IjHxlOAsE-vo3yxTUVpyxMwaPln7dJdSnBHXaK-Tr2wXs/s1600/one2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhON6ZiTz29ppjVmD1-DlRE3N7rX-nN2fp4r4HM72ZYBnoTl0_Sk9sgDh2WNA8iSl7peHawL1LCAZMvBWr_fZvRXTuUUwdwT-IjHxlOAsE-vo3yxTUVpyxMwaPln7dJdSnBHXaK-Tr2wXs/s1600/one2.jpg" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
(Blended)</div>
<br />
With an SPF of 20 it's perfect for use in the sunnier months to protect your skin and give it a tint. I have been wearing it alone on casual/ no makeup days just to even out my skin tone and add SPF, but on work days I personally prefer a more polished look with more coverage so I have enjoyed using it as a primer before my foundation. It works equally well as a primer and makes my foundation last longer, while blurring pores and dehydration lines. It will definitely be a must for my makeup bag when I travel as it's super versatile and effortless!<br />
<br />
Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector retails at £25 for 40ml <a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=3100&awinaffid=111822&clickref=&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.houseoffraser.co.uk%2FUrban%2BDecay%2BNaked%2BSkin%2BOne%2BDone%2FD676584%2Cdefault%2Cpd.html">here</a> and comes in 6 shades.<br />

<br />
Oh, what I wouldn't do for perfect skin! After posting the below photo on Instagram (@NatalyaFGM) I had so many of you getting in touch asking about the <a href="https://faceplace.com/">Face Place</a> facial that I thought a proper review would be helpful! While it does look like something out of a torture chamber the Face Place treatment itself is very relaxing and definitely one I would recommend, mainly because it's something a bit different that may give your skin that little extra boost. Often skin can become accustomed to certain products and treatments so I always think it’s good to switch it up and try something new!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSSInOb7r2a2tDD3eHnK_r73xoZwXWOOpHiDvS3y1f7BwrhcRKJh7qZ61Ew7GQnwqTN2dCtVesLjYaDYBDDbOfwiRg0NG3ftPi4woH2b7Qb0CbyuaxSCZkMCDcWhgeTSiWyN5cJzJnWY0/s1600/fp.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSSInOb7r2a2tDD3eHnK_r73xoZwXWOOpHiDvS3y1f7BwrhcRKJh7qZ61Ew7GQnwqTN2dCtVesLjYaDYBDDbOfwiRg0NG3ftPi4woH2b7Qb0CbyuaxSCZkMCDcWhgeTSiWyN5cJzJnWY0/s320/fp.png" width="278" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(My best impression of Hannibal Lecter)</div>
<br />
The<a href="http://sensespalondon.com/treatments/face-place/"> Face Place</a> treatment at the <a href="http://sensespalondon.com/">Sense Spa</a> at <a href="http://www.rosewoodhotels.com/en/london">Rosewood London</a> comes straight from LA (and those of you who love reality TV may have spotted it featured in RHOBH a few times). The facial consists of two main parts - first a deep manual cleansing of all facial pores, followed by the use of galvanic current to deliver improved skin tone, firmness, fewer lines and a clearer complexion. Each facial is bespoke to a client’s requirements, so mine concentrated on hydration and deep cleansing. I am always trying to keep my pores in check and find that this treatment leaves my skin feeling nourished, but also clear and blemish free. The facialist Rowan Hall-Farrise is amazing at adapting the facial to different skin types and is a source of so much skincare knowledge that I would definitely recommend addressing her with any of your skin concerns. She’s also absolutely lovely so we barely stop chatting throughout!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoYWHoyh_RYN5OpxpbUa79xUgf2VMMMzdYHf5QZA9mzU5hjFyItRkKPLJ0CpFOwfEBc5DvAZ2iXYJewXOoOztjFjVjYCToQUyYV5anTtXwQB8WKUT6efiXOa2H8VILC52MBqW2cdI2pik/s1600/Courtyard+at+Rosewood+London+960x598.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="248" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoYWHoyh_RYN5OpxpbUa79xUgf2VMMMzdYHf5QZA9mzU5hjFyItRkKPLJ0CpFOwfEBc5DvAZ2iXYJewXOoOztjFjVjYCToQUyYV5anTtXwQB8WKUT6efiXOa2H8VILC52MBqW2cdI2pik/s400/Courtyard+at+Rosewood+London+960x598.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
After a gentle cleanse the pores are softened using moist yucca root infused heated pads and a cone placed on top that acts as mini face sauna. Rowan then uses magnifying glasses and a vacuum machine taking away dead skin cells to make sure that every pore is squeaky clean. I am a big fan of extraction as my skin is oily and I do wear makeup most days so it is prone to congestion. At the same time my skin is very sensitive so any breakouts (which tend to be hormonal) take a very long time to heal and often scar. After the extraction, which is at times uncomfortable, but never too painful, a spray of collagen follows.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfvRPrvsei5X4qkIJTpvZhydhFcQ0jqPdk6L85nUNQXSlyptCtYNmCI_RrK8rNXZo_Gu_VXCKCXqgl_MIQtMp8nlIhnuCcj8hfiic8SAjr8U-DckD2Q_n8EHuVNJfY64cnf6ec0QqwK0U/s1600/fp1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="235" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfvRPrvsei5X4qkIJTpvZhydhFcQ0jqPdk6L85nUNQXSlyptCtYNmCI_RrK8rNXZo_Gu_VXCKCXqgl_MIQtMp8nlIhnuCcj8hfiic8SAjr8U-DckD2Q_n8EHuVNJfY64cnf6ec0QqwK0U/s400/fp1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
For the current treatment itself warm pads are applied soaked in a solution of vitamins and minerals including vitamin C that helps skin regeneration and stimulate collagen production and anti-inflammatory Zinc. A warm wet pad is also applied underneath you to help the conduction of the current. Once connected as scary as the mask looks all that is palpable is a slight tingling sensation on the skin and a strange, but not unpleasant, metallic taste in the mouth. While the current is working you can enjoy a hand and arm massage, which is incredibly relaxing. After the treatment Rowan applies a Skinceuticals hydrating mask, but in general this facial doesn’t use too many products as it is all about the extraction technique and the use of current to promote deep penetration of vitamins into the skin.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOvvZOArp8NAJH8cDPHeGUUHXgqMgC83H9jK7T9DO4PsFWHtwHmYlRjrWKeYCDtTgriDLRwPFJfH6uNv64XgYz0Fj963RnHzq0Z8Xn2KVXIpgEtFByaw6w1QDtcTIn5CzDx0TCWhrA8BY/s1600/rose1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOvvZOArp8NAJH8cDPHeGUUHXgqMgC83H9jK7T9DO4PsFWHtwHmYlRjrWKeYCDtTgriDLRwPFJfH6uNv64XgYz0Fj963RnHzq0Z8Xn2KVXIpgEtFByaw6w1QDtcTIn5CzDx0TCWhrA8BY/s320/rose1.jpg" width="245" /></a></div>
<br />
After the treatment my skin is left pink for about an hour and a few hours later it already looks clearer and smoother and feels plumper. The treatment is great for sensitive skin as it doesn’t use any harsh products and I don’t experience any dryness afterwards.<br />
<br />
Have you heard of Face Place before? Have you experienced any treatments using galvanic current? I would love to hear your thoughts!</div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">About a month ago I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Lens, plastic surgeon and creator of the <a href="http://www.zelens.com/">Zelens</a> skincare brand. Having never tried any Zelens products before I was interested to learn about his philosophy of combining active biotechnology ingredients with pure molecules derived from botanicals, as well as quiz him on a few of my skin concerns such as sun exposure – do we leave the SPF off to gain some vitamin D or is protection from the sun more important? While the jury is still out on this issue I have been trying out a few of the products from the Zelens range!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYdbLVmDoTcniVfDrW5mJiRERlEq5wWgZbD3HF-lUSqb8K2RjS2zZNR9RKxSlJhrAJZSquRxUs1NQaCHX27J9XSPQYUwlQz9ijUFGRoU3aDXMxgTjsImJuHBUpfcGJPCZn-0PJhgtWdQg/s1600/zelens+lip.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYdbLVmDoTcniVfDrW5mJiRERlEq5wWgZbD3HF-lUSqb8K2RjS2zZNR9RKxSlJhrAJZSquRxUs1NQaCHX27J9XSPQYUwlQz9ijUFGRoU3aDXMxgTjsImJuHBUpfcGJPCZn-0PJhgtWdQg/s320/zelens+lip.jpg" width="254" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The product I have used every day since opening it is the amazing<a href="http://www.zelens.com/product.php?xProd=123&xSec=2"> Zelens Lip Treatment Oil</a> (£40). I didn’t initially like the idea of a lip oil as I thought it would feel unpleasantly greasy and would either be too thick or smear too easily. However, this oil is light, with a wonderfully smooth and comforting texture that stays put on the lips, giving them a beautiful gloss. The Zelens lip oil contains 9 plant oils infused with powerful botanicals, vitamins, peptides and other anti-aging ingredients. It has a very subtle fragrance and no taste. It hydrates lips, delivering instant moisture, strengthening the lipid barrier and protecting against environmental damage. It also helps to smooth and fill in fine lines and wrinkles while improving lip texture, plumpness and shape. I absolutely love it, especially for use in the morning – I apply it straight after foundation and by the time the rest of my face is done my lips are soft, smooth and primed for the day! It’s great to use under lipstick as a base or over lip products as a gloss and sealer of moisture. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij_KoGMyCiPFnwy94XVXyvMNhrjgpu0iAmUwFUhaiG4a_7wQnwQPOifqUapLnRWQfRxqyZ0hwdFFFeMedt-AEIyuOydDP5-bQ1VOIa0hzaj2pxBVXQ9iYXxVDFDgOFrc8BChq-DwJY-t8/s1600/power+a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij_KoGMyCiPFnwy94XVXyvMNhrjgpu0iAmUwFUhaiG4a_7wQnwQPOifqUapLnRWQfRxqyZ0hwdFFFeMedt-AEIyuOydDP5-bQ1VOIa0hzaj2pxBVXQ9iYXxVDFDgOFrc8BChq-DwJY-t8/s320/power+a.jpg" width="230" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The second product I have used with equal enthusiasm is the <a href="http://www.zelens.com/product.php?xProd=124&xSec=2">Power A High Potency Vitamin A Treatment Drops</a> (£115). Being new to retinol and having very fair, sensitive skin I began to use this cautiously, but am happy to report that my skin hasn’t reacted to it at all. I have seen no dryness or irritation and am super impressed by how gentle it has been on my delicate skin! Zelens Vitamin A concentrate contains a powerful combination of pure, encapsulated retinol and two retinoids. This time-released, oil-free retinol treatment promotes skin renewal and improves skin tone and texture with minimal or no irritation. It aims to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots resulting from aging and sun damage. Additionally it helps to clear blemishes and diminish the look of enlarged pores. I have definitely seen an improvement in my skin after a few weeks of use. I usually apply a few drops at night (and while this product is quite pricey I’m happy to say that a little really does go a long way) and my skin feels smoother by morning.</span><br />
<br />

One of the best things about moving house is having the opportunity to reorganise! I took full advantage of this, especially in de-cluttering my makeup. It has been so much fun being able to try new things from my stash!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8wqFNI9j8oLpCe1qCW4wWpGZ6y-cpingF41Pkrv8CGLjEjUzAWza6S3XR_cS0r4tLDsd0W7KvKBlHjlUQhE873Dyc-oOHV_8EJfapPo4VTu4dUje2yLcQ2rHyvb4uqXm85dedvOl1GNM/s1600/ml1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="305" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8wqFNI9j8oLpCe1qCW4wWpGZ6y-cpingF41Pkrv8CGLjEjUzAWza6S3XR_cS0r4tLDsd0W7KvKBlHjlUQhE873Dyc-oOHV_8EJfapPo4VTu4dUje2yLcQ2rHyvb4uqXm85dedvOl1GNM/s320/ml1.png" width="320" /></a></div>
One of the products I have really enjoyed recently is the Mory-Lou Manizer from The Balm. I have no idea how long it was hiding in the hack of a drawer, as it is by no means a new product, but I thought I would give it a chance when I cleared out some of my older highlighters.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRE-PnSCnXOsd9NJZ7PZmYSNpWHVgAsOJm0JDLgucQOG4sNQB1CE8KiIu7uFEMYQ3FtTWmxWZlgRWDnvohmCqQyliEnDhw8vD37TAAmc54dv17nZG1ISrQl-84jrhqajHVmpBeprTSV2g/s1600/ml6.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRE-PnSCnXOsd9NJZ7PZmYSNpWHVgAsOJm0JDLgucQOG4sNQB1CE8KiIu7uFEMYQ3FtTWmxWZlgRWDnvohmCqQyliEnDhw8vD37TAAmc54dv17nZG1ISrQl-84jrhqajHVmpBeprTSV2g/s320/ml6.png" width="295" /></a></div>
This highlighting powder comes in a round mirrored compact. It is super soft and smooth and applies absolutely effortlessly. I would describe it as a warm champagne colour that is very reflective, but with no glitter or sparkles, just a satin sheen. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDnQmxm0WpqNO2DqwnOiwLvWjlBEEjVSjmmITEXrjieQPSMTN2z6G9PQq18fQOPiK1Hi5n9KeiyxxdvbF50Mqg7mzN2q8OawC4PbwR0RyffEncUzwr-vh5e0vChPJ-QZRibvUahoHzWKM/s1600/ml5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="306" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDnQmxm0WpqNO2DqwnOiwLvWjlBEEjVSjmmITEXrjieQPSMTN2z6G9PQq18fQOPiK1Hi5n9KeiyxxdvbF50Mqg7mzN2q8OawC4PbwR0RyffEncUzwr-vh5e0vChPJ-QZRibvUahoHzWKM/s320/ml5.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A little definitely goes a long way as the pigmentation is very good. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZSB-Lt4NNEQW94LbNspCWJRFMw8cpRys5zGjWTh7JUS6OcoITGhglx7ek8SWnDflVJ5ap_mnEnIsDmpyjzgMp6ll-VmFOAHDNZBc8If_9aU1h0xqJKBqAQRQlvkGtAaCaQ5zMcdgBhTc/s1600/ml4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="307" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZSB-Lt4NNEQW94LbNspCWJRFMw8cpRys5zGjWTh7JUS6OcoITGhglx7ek8SWnDflVJ5ap_mnEnIsDmpyjzgMp6ll-VmFOAHDNZBc8If_9aU1h0xqJKBqAQRQlvkGtAaCaQ5zMcdgBhTc/s320/ml4.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I use it as a highlight on my cheekbones, with a thin fan brush and a very light touch. It's also great as an eyeshadow - either an all over base lid colour, a brow or inner corner highlight. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-B0idSTYSFtA6DiSFsaKO79Gx-w4FiZuwdHbls17r7EzvCSBZ3R0t-ZrLsqfPfd0KANrVUDjIby4eD31tbsa0SruKHGWh9azg-bIu51HzIlKSre1mNSSsRCg4tmbOG0q5XySZGbtxr4Y/s1600/ml3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-B0idSTYSFtA6DiSFsaKO79Gx-w4FiZuwdHbls17r7EzvCSBZ3R0t-ZrLsqfPfd0KANrVUDjIby4eD31tbsa0SruKHGWh9azg-bIu51HzIlKSre1mNSSsRCg4tmbOG0q5XySZGbtxr4Y/s320/ml3.jpg" width="202" /></a></div>
<br />
It just adds the most amazing glow to the face and goes with most blush colours I have tried as it is neither too warm/ gold toned or silver/ cool toned. Sometimes highlighters can look a little off on very light skin like mine, but I find this one to add the perfect amount of radiance, without adding too much colour.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer is available from Superdrug <a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=2026&awinaffid=111822&clickref=&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.superdrug.com%2FThe-Balm%2FThe-Balm-Mary-lou-manizer-Highlighter-shadow-shimmer%2Fp%2F950457%23.VnKJ5k1Ofcs">here</a> for £17.49. </div>
<br />
I am also currently trying out <a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=2026&awinaffid=111822&clickref=&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.superdrug.com%2FThe-Balm%2FThe-Balm-NUDE%2527tude-Nude-eyeshadow-palette-12-shades%2Fp%2F951957%23.VnKKg01Ofcs">The Balm NUDE'tude Nude eyeshadow palette</a> (£29.99), which has a great selection of neutral, wearable eyeshadows. The texture is super smooth and they have great pigmentation. My favourite eye shadow is stand-offish - a nude, pinky toned shimmery colour that is perfect as an effortless all over lid colour!<br />

One of the reasons we fell in love with our new (old) house was that it had a spacious master bedroom that felt airy and light. As much as I still love my old flat, living on the lower ground floor did mean that our bedroom wasn't the brightest. So we decided to keep the spacious feeling and make the bedroom very simple - white walls, white furniture and a statement kingsize bed with matching ottoman. <br />
<br />
I had always wanted a canopy bed, or at least one with a really high headboard that felt super cosy and enveloping. After weeks of researching a number of styles the most sensible and budget friendly was from <a href="http://www.made.com/">MADE</a>, especially with the added storage under the bed.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiI9OtN2IW7ReucfnLX4hECK368dY7woOBsjrxl9dRFrSqgYXMZuRXK9gdNLD1OPShnwTVgpu9bhd0RyetXdAkgQP3cIwn76TYTxLZKCFLaYELEKRNVI97VJXwA0L4arLnH8cbeJny40n8/s1600/berg1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="323" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiI9OtN2IW7ReucfnLX4hECK368dY7woOBsjrxl9dRFrSqgYXMZuRXK9gdNLD1OPShnwTVgpu9bhd0RyetXdAkgQP3cIwn76TYTxLZKCFLaYELEKRNVI97VJXwA0L4arLnH8cbeJny40n8/s400/berg1.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div align="center">
<a href="http://www.made.com/collection/bergerac-collection/bergerac-kingsize-bed-with-storage-graphite-grey"><em>Bergerac bed with storage in Graphite</em> <em>Grey</em></a></div>
<br />
I was pretty set on the Bergerac, but as we were buying various pieces from <a href="http://www.made.com/">MADE</a> I was yet to place my full order when I came across a gorgeous fully upholstered customisable winged bed in <a href="http://www.barkerandstonehouse.co.uk/">Barker and Stonehouse</a>. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioS58eJNpHlurj4j4_qdA-LetByWjgJQLSEUozykONw7WrlgPfKqzt4HxNs6DO0utjueZ3CkesLbffIRJnTElJbicXsQmB-VcSgC7jjuuWmDJf7oZ7_5jdIxA3wUuCghYrA1vAuv6ZX7c/s1600/beds.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioS58eJNpHlurj4j4_qdA-LetByWjgJQLSEUozykONw7WrlgPfKqzt4HxNs6DO0utjueZ3CkesLbffIRJnTElJbicXsQmB-VcSgC7jjuuWmDJf7oZ7_5jdIxA3wUuCghYrA1vAuv6ZX7c/s400/beds.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
This was not the sensible option both in terms of price and the lack of storage. However, I loved the button detail, their wide selection of fabrics, the matching storage ottoman and the fact it was on sale just sealed the deal! The only negative was the 10 weeks waiting time (though I begged and in the end it was just less than 8 weeks).<br />

<a href="http://www.barkerandstonehouse.co.uk/bedroom/Bed-frames/Wiltshire-High-End-Bed/sizes-3437-72577/#"><em>Wiltshire Bed</em></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Having splurged on the bed, and being very aware of our multiple back issues (mine from birth and the hubby's numerous rugby injuries), I was very surprised by the cost of a king size mattress. I had never had to purchase one before and was shocked that some cost more than our bed! When <a href="https://www.leesa.co.uk/products/leesa-mattress">Leesa</a> contacted me to see if I would like to review one of their mattresses I decided to be open minded, though my natural scepticism was still there. Having seen the hundreds of glowing reviews on their website it sounded a little too good to be true that one mattress could be comfortable for everyone. Especially given the hubby and I couldn't decide on one between us as every mattress we tried was a bit like Goldilocks and the three bears' porridge... not quite right.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigZNNMsmocA_UlGpS_S1t7xgaVEtcqqd4CoxS0uDKMdynShxOB5fQTYl45TZsqsPgI7XQmOV_fNT3uRhcqG_bQrEfKcRM_KXd50tUQ3xi0IcmXeNqMCYcgBabbv8M6yILP1iwBTozC5Ok/s1600/leesa-mattress-box-01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="232" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigZNNMsmocA_UlGpS_S1t7xgaVEtcqqd4CoxS0uDKMdynShxOB5fQTYl45TZsqsPgI7XQmOV_fNT3uRhcqG_bQrEfKcRM_KXd50tUQ3xi0IcmXeNqMCYcgBabbv8M6yILP1iwBTozC5Ok/s400/leesa-mattress-box-01.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The Leesa mattress arrived (less than a week after I ordered it) packaged in a narrow cardboard box. This was exceptionally useful as it took up very little space and could be safely stored in our loft while the renovation works were being done. As Leesa has no springs and is made entirely of foam (top layer of cooling avena foam, middle layer of contouring memory foam and base layer of dense core support foam) it is not as heavy as a traditional mattress and therefore much easier to manoeuvre. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghSAkDTvwjAmWbTDlnFtKyexDcuHDOKdvQIsZdRRdT-Tp2YeF2_nFrl01XfWiFjwUW5Gmsq_toskA7o5L9jVxvMH8w1yzJ4PRwEa8FPB0V8OAdaoXuw6d9AC_uy3W32cGlTZbqOmUY3-w/s1600/leesa1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghSAkDTvwjAmWbTDlnFtKyexDcuHDOKdvQIsZdRRdT-Tp2YeF2_nFrl01XfWiFjwUW5Gmsq_toskA7o5L9jVxvMH8w1yzJ4PRwEa8FPB0V8OAdaoXuw6d9AC_uy3W32cGlTZbqOmUY3-w/s320/leesa1.jpg" width="135" /></a></div>
<br />
It took just seconds to unpack it, as it is coiled in plastic that can be cut away, and after leaving it overnight it had decompressed evenly. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtwNaFy88ieAkbmctc9yJbTs1skks28nc_CF7KAOBURLlo7wD7_PZywvBBYYIvdsHywYg_Dykeb9rh962HlHZrT9J1Cpk6bVnpy7DL437MNs0sI6WEgFPYcKd2sZ1AYRKaqhVoqWTJHns/s1600/leesa2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="235" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtwNaFy88ieAkbmctc9yJbTs1skks28nc_CF7KAOBURLlo7wD7_PZywvBBYYIvdsHywYg_Dykeb9rh962HlHZrT9J1Cpk6bVnpy7DL437MNs0sI6WEgFPYcKd2sZ1AYRKaqhVoqWTJHns/s320/leesa2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The <a href="https://www.leesa.co.uk/products/leesa-mattress">Leesa</a> mattress is soft enough to feel comfortable, yet supportive enough that you don't feel like you are sinking into it. One of the main things I love about it, especially compared to my old mattress, is the lack of springs making it quiet and also ensuring there is no transfer of movement. So when the hubby is getting into bed (often long after I have fallen asleep) I don't get woken up by squawky springs or bounced out of bed as he sits down.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpKvWfQOcqUqGIYNtYZorl97Tcu6ys3xI1QgvlWjW008t73uWl2c3yZ64VRsfPG1E0tOd59yN__y-HPVY2QraXRXhTVEmF4IQgORdq1XnAzeGzKgQInw6u4rNPaTfYhErH7ob223p7-oo/s1600/leesa3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="440" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpKvWfQOcqUqGIYNtYZorl97Tcu6ys3xI1QgvlWjW008t73uWl2c3yZ64VRsfPG1E0tOd59yN__y-HPVY2QraXRXhTVEmF4IQgORdq1XnAzeGzKgQInw6u4rNPaTfYhErH7ob223p7-oo/s640/leesa3.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Leesa mattress fit perfectly into our kingsize Wiltshire bed in pewter velvet.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I wanted to wait a little while before writing my review and now that it has been a few weeks of sleeping on the Leesa mattress, both on the floor and our luxurious new bed, I think we are ready to join all those excellent testimonials on the Leesa website! Our experience was great - easy to order, quick delivery in a convenient box, simple unpacking and above all else it has given us a great night of sleep! So much so that my bed time has slowly been shifting earlier and earlier!<br />

Those of you who follow me on Insta and Twitter would have already seen a deluge of posts about my husband and I moving house. <br />

After two and a half years of looking for our future family home and feeling pretty disillusioned we finally had an offer accepted on a house in a completely different area in July. We felt that it was a sign and decided to take the plunge and move south of the river for the first time!<br />
<br />

The following months were pretty stressful with mortgage brokers, banks, solicitors and contractors being exceptionally difficult and ignoring all deadlines. Unfortunately, blogging had to be put on hold (along with the rest of our social life) while I redesigned the house, packed, chased builders and furniture deliveries. <br />

Now that most of the boxes are unpacked I am really excited to share with you some of my interior design ideas, as well as tips and things I learned from taking on and managing a refurbishment project. My <a href="http://www.freddy.com/uk_en/">Freddy</a> obsession seems to be continuing as I recently took full advantage of their mid season sale and purchased two more pairs of super comfy and flattering trousers. <br />
<br />
The first was an eco leather high waist legging with a metal zip closure. I'm not really the kind of girl who wears leather trousers, but these are so easy to wear! I love the high waist as it makes them super comfortable and flattering. The eco leather is also really stretchy so it moulds to your shape, without feeling restrictive. If you are not a fan of the high waist style they also have a <a href="http://www.freddy.com/uk_en/wr-upr-shaping-effect-low-waist-7-8-with-zip-faux-leather.html">low waist version</a> or a fun <a href="http://www.freddy.com/uk_en/wr-upr-shaping-effect-high-waist-skinny-faux-snake-skin.html">patterned style</a>.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSUzWEQT6BVgmtHTQuRGVAeBqc5P0KAP8gmT86PzW-8swq5q4MvvTsr8xpvxhoM90tQMdtfrSj8gIoJ92y1datCA1KGfm8gdCa9XEvmTOmMpdJO8Y-EO-Obgi9OI12mlJvX5KwgQjz-GU/s1600/frd1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSUzWEQT6BVgmtHTQuRGVAeBqc5P0KAP8gmT86PzW-8swq5q4MvvTsr8xpvxhoM90tQMdtfrSj8gIoJ92y1datCA1KGfm8gdCa9XEvmTOmMpdJO8Y-EO-Obgi9OI12mlJvX5KwgQjz-GU/s640/frd1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The second pair was from <a href="http://www.freddy.com/uk_en/woman/wr-upr/wr-upr-sport.html">Wr.Up Sport</a>. These are technically made for working out, but they definitely fit within the realm of sports luxe activewear as they are structured enough to wear outside the gym. Although they feel just as comfortable as leggings the proper seams, pockets and zip closure ensure that they can be worn alone. The white stripe down the side is also a fun little detail that helps to elongate the legs.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEm7Cy5uAMlaaNqeWhqYu8NZU93drGS7qL2nTHYSTZWqk-TVp_xxafDLaoXNX02fSEkkymPrra_nJtdbVi4yevLyKUGshQasRyKYNMG7pi-v1iOjmaiFK5YJx-xo4vMICT6stIvSzTfdg/s1600/frd2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEm7Cy5uAMlaaNqeWhqYu8NZU93drGS7qL2nTHYSTZWqk-TVp_xxafDLaoXNX02fSEkkymPrra_nJtdbVi4yevLyKUGshQasRyKYNMG7pi-v1iOjmaiFK5YJx-xo4vMICT6stIvSzTfdg/s640/frd2.jpg" width="324" /></a></div>
<br />
I love the innovative Freddy designs and their use of super stretchy fabrics, which makes them extraordinarily comfortable. As I have become more interested in fitness over the last few years I have found myself becoming somewhat of a lazy cliché wearing workout clothes most evenings and weekends (even when not working out). However, I do find Freddy to be a good compromise as their activewear is structured and a little smarter so it can take me from running errands and seeing friends to Pilates comfortably and looking like I have made more of an effort (and actually got dressed rather than putting on yoga pants again)!<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Have you tried any Freddy Wr.Up styles? Which would you recommend?</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Apologies for the lack of posts in the last few weeks! After 2.5 years of looking for our forever home we are finally moving this weekend! Very exciting, but it has also been very stressful with builders (not) working and putting holes in the wrong wall, missing furniture deliveries, packing... and still working full time. I am forever grateful to be lucky enough to have a house in London, but just a little frazzled!<br /><br />Keeping in mind how time starved our generation is with long working hours and never ceasing FOMO I thought it would be useful to speak about time saving ways of keeping fit. With so many moving parts and evenings filled with transporting boxes (kinda exercise right?), chasing builders and trips to Homebase I have found it really difficult to keep up with my usual fitness routine. Instead I have been squeezing in lunchtime EMS training sessions at </span><a href="http://www.exerceotraining.co.uk/homepage/"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Exerceo</span></a><span style="font-family: inherit;">. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXkR3InH794XdIoMqHdFWZEHXsEKuMqLZe3dCGawzfZLRKiFRb0mcEccetrHQrG9h8zYU2bOIKReYnZUqWj4tOf_dxTnMe0o4GNXEEfjRLMkfk9hpkuQYQOA4XBJcGadCM6VIEhHeh1mo/s1600/ex1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXkR3InH794XdIoMqHdFWZEHXsEKuMqLZe3dCGawzfZLRKiFRb0mcEccetrHQrG9h8zYU2bOIKReYnZUqWj4tOf_dxTnMe0o4GNXEEfjRLMkfk9hpkuQYQOA4XBJcGadCM6VIEhHeh1mo/s640/ex1.png" width="414" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The studio near Liverpool Street. With the EMS machine ready to go.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /><a href="http://www.exerceotraining.co.uk/benefits/">EMS stands for ‘Electro Muscle Stimulation’</a>. From a technical point of view, it’s a full body training exercise using impulse current. During traditional exercise, the brain sends signals to the muscles to bring about contractions. EMS mimics the action of the central nervous system, activating muscles in the same way, but using external impulses delivered via electrodes onto the skin directly above the muscles. The impulses reach deep muscle layers which are hard to activate through conventional training. Your muscles will not tell the difference, but work out much more effectively.<br /> <br />I had heard about EMS training before (think Slendertone), but never in combnation with actual exercise, so I was excited to be given the opportunity of experiencing it for myself! It's not nearly as complicated or technical as it sounds. Each session starts with you putting on the black t-shirt and leggings provided (fantastic if you are in a rush as you don't need to bring anything for the sessions!). You are then strapped into a vest and cycling shorts style suit with electrodes. When the suit is turned on you can feel the electric pulses contracting your muscles. This is not at all painful, but can feel a little strange and quite intense until you get used to it. The best way I can describe it is like a light internal vibrating or prickling sensation. The strength of the pulses is adjusted to your comfort/ tolerance for different muscles. Somehow my abs and legs were always at max, but my arms were barely on! During the session you work with some very basic exercises eg. squats, lunges, shoulder press for about 20 seconds at a time with a rest of 8 seconds. The weights are very light (2-6kg). Though, trust me, while it sounds super easy holding a plank while your body is pulsing can be quite the challenge, even for just 20 seconds!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO3MCG8SpYXKVY2QX_pCxgbM897sd2pZkYWmUL49RT7GtGqMBlviMd-aIhS5IjCQeoXG9X0WU7M3q3CQU-cArzNwT5Y38AMHRxA6-YgfQmGSZvUb9lK1cMm2aLycLGhiUzp_GvMKvg7Ys/s1600/ex2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO3MCG8SpYXKVY2QX_pCxgbM897sd2pZkYWmUL49RT7GtGqMBlviMd-aIhS5IjCQeoXG9X0WU7M3q3CQU-cArzNwT5Y38AMHRxA6-YgfQmGSZvUb9lK1cMm2aLycLGhiUzp_GvMKvg7Ys/s640/ex2.png" width="316" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Trying to take a photo of the activewear provided at each session, while being photo bombed by <a href="http://www.exerceotraining.co.uk/about/">Head Trainer Nooroa</a> (who is very camera shy).<br /><br />The best thing about <a href="http://www.exerceotraining.co.uk/session/">EMS at Exerceo</a> for me was the time and convenience. No gym bag to drag around and knowing that a 25 minute session was enough to get my muscles really firing and challenge myself. It's amazing that I could work out, shower and eat lunch within the hour and be back at my desk!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The trainers are great in customising the workouts for you so it really depends on your goals, whether that's generally toning and losing fat or improving speed, strength, endurance, mobility, balance or posture. Mine was to strengthen and stabilise my back as I have multiple spine issues and using simple exercises and light weights I could really work deeply and effectively without overloading my back. EMS also works amazingly for <a href="http://www.exerceotraining.co.uk/benefits/">rehabilitation</a> as you only need very light resistance so you do not put strain on your joints or tendons. It's also great for those suffering from other problems such as osteoporosis or even for ladies who have recently given birth as the pulses target deep muscles that help to rebuild pelvic floor strength.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9OC0mIvexc0HQR2TvvTbaf3bspqsDyO6FXqYO7O_4YISQL8qjMw9gwdnZLA3qd7MAYw55nrnHDbxcEahi-2o9O-sV7zxtAozvlKWssGcypbFEz8IDfNctLqbP61MUrHZGmDakCSo4zJk/s1600/ex3.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9OC0mIvexc0HQR2TvvTbaf3bspqsDyO6FXqYO7O_4YISQL8qjMw9gwdnZLA3qd7MAYw55nrnHDbxcEahi-2o9O-sV7zxtAozvlKWssGcypbFEz8IDfNctLqbP61MUrHZGmDakCSo4zJk/s400/ex3.png" width="192" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Even though I try to work out 4/5 times per week after each short Exerceo EMS training session I could definitely feel the DOMS the next day. After my first session concentrating on lower body my quads and hamstrings were more sore than they are after a 150kg leg press or 100kg deadlift, and I think the max weight used was 6kg! As much as I love my weight training for building lean muscle and strength the EMS method is truly effective for strengthening, endurance, core work and really rounding off your training. It's great for any fitness level or age so whether you are a beginner or a seasoned gym bunny it can be customised to your needs.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Have you heard of EMS training before? I would love to hear your thoughts! If you are interested do check out Exerceo. The first trial session is <a href="http://www.exerceotraining.co.uk/book-a-session/">FREE</a> so there's nothing to lose!</div>

Last week I was working late in the office when I had an unexpected call from reception asking me to come downstairs to sign for a delivery. I was very happy to see that the mystery package was Yves Saint Laurent's beautiful new eau de toilette <a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=2041&awinaffid=111822&clickref=&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.boots.com%2Fen%2FYSL-Black-Opium-Eau-de-Toilette-30ml_1697078%2F">Black Opium</a>. It certainly cheered me up!<br />

YSL Beaute describes the new EDT as mysterious, but sensual. Vibrant, yet with a new femininity at its heart. It is designed to be distinctly different to the Black Opium eau de parfum.<br />
<br />
Notes of zingy blackcurrant, juicy pear, quirky mandarin peel, fragrant jasmine tea and orange blossom give this initially sweet feminine scent depth and complexity with flavours of green coffee bean, musk and white wood.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
The new diamond dust bottle gives homage to the original, but is a fun twist on a classic.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The Black Opium Eau de Toilette is a beautifully rich, yet sweet and wearable fragrance. There is definitely something very addictive about it!</div>

I took small sections to create the curls in alternate directions. I then let them set for about half an hour while I did my makeup. After the curls had thoroughly cooled I brushed through them with my hands and a smoothing brush to loosen them and give them a lot more volume and movement.</div>

As many of you know I am a big fan of detoxing and giving your digestive system a break for a few days every couple of months. I have tried numerous juice and food detoxes over the years, so I was intrigued when I was contacted to review a cleanse that combined cold pressed juice with live bacterial cultures to give you all the benefits of juicing with a digestive boost. I have written many times about the importance of a healthy gut and taking probiotics, so I was interested to see how this cleanse would work!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXv-NeFE25146GzfnHcXEEDh4WZMH_wo1K-B7ZhoHQ_pUYdbntyMgoZYKjFwp-ry17xGH_2YfCNaauMPXKIpRN1k6kM_GMfzrNlpf1FnBqCbbl7SeiWxsFQUNk_qtlRBcXNgbJD-9ZcSM/s1600/IMG_0357.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="227" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXv-NeFE25146GzfnHcXEEDh4WZMH_wo1K-B7ZhoHQ_pUYdbntyMgoZYKjFwp-ry17xGH_2YfCNaauMPXKIpRN1k6kM_GMfzrNlpf1FnBqCbbl7SeiWxsFQUNk_qtlRBcXNgbJD-9ZcSM/s400/IMG_0357.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I was sent a 3 day cleanse (3 times the above) and was excited to see that the Rhythm cleanse was completely different to any others I had previously tried. On a normal day I eat a lot! As I work out 4/5 days a week I have increased my metabolic rate over the years and I definitely need to fuel those hard earned muscles. During a typical detox I do usually struggle with hunger and tiredness, but I have found this one a lot easier. The Rhythm cleanse has a really generous volume and the variety of flavours and textures really helps you to feel full and stops you getting bored. The juices are 500ml and are quite thick, while the coconut milk's fat content makes it a really satisfying treat.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
1. Start of the day</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: small;">The<span style="font-size: small;"> day <span style="font-size: small;">starts with</span></span></span> the High Potency Kefir (Life shot<span style="font-size: small;"> </span>200) loading up with over 200 billion diverse natural multi-strain<span style="font-size: small;"> </span>cultures trailblazing deep in your gut. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Start of the day to - Lunch time</div>
<br />
Drink 4 x 126g bottles of Rhythm Pure Coconut over this period keeping your nutrients intake simplistic and pure whilst the loading of the cultures takes place. I tried to drink them at timed intervals i.e. High Potency taken at 7.00am, Rhythm Pure Coconut 126g at 8.00am, 9.00am, 10.00am and 11.00am. Sip on the 500ml coconut water during this period for rehydration. If you want, add a dash of calamansi lime juice to bring up your Vitamin C.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjicuFfQY_vnZSWGhVjW_6-YC7IT3I6j9eG62bxIBS45kEN3pbGYp9zHunnnVipQm1mrhLO-Ej3Y5HmOvYiFucWvKkbhXcvOF3ZdrrkG8noiPODAHK7yxU4RK8FKY2s1Hhe6txBWZ1OfvY/s1600/IMG_0368.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjicuFfQY_vnZSWGhVjW_6-YC7IT3I6j9eG62bxIBS45kEN3pbGYp9zHunnnVipQm1mrhLO-Ej3Y5HmOvYiFucWvKkbhXcvOF3ZdrrkG8noiPODAHK7yxU4RK8FKY2s1Hhe6txBWZ1OfvY/s400/IMG_0368.jpg" width="238" /></a> </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3. Lunch</div>
<br />Choose either the Coconut & Beetroot 500ml or the Coconut & Greens 500ml. If you feel hungry, have 30% of a Virgin Coconut Milk pouch. This is very filling and contains all good medium chain fatty acids which are good fuel for the body. The saturated fats in the pouch are Virgin Coconut Oil.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrfAoS1K0nGp19EBUdpIxW9ZOuuGklCx5EA_kkS21bX2VDlBQVTja1RkmqMb9ZlIg2gikWE4qzRckv-Cd4O9hS_kVVMXxjJhmyYAxpRC96wU4_SDQmDoYJrcknnQBtvPT-396WZaCqAwI/s1600/IMG_0369.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrfAoS1K0nGp19EBUdpIxW9ZOuuGklCx5EA_kkS21bX2VDlBQVTja1RkmqMb9ZlIg2gikWE4qzRckv-Cd4O9hS_kVVMXxjJhmyYAxpRC96wU4_SDQmDoYJrcknnQBtvPT-396WZaCqAwI/s400/IMG_0369.jpg" width="141" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
4. In between Lunch & Dinner for re-hydration</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Sip on 90% of the Pomegranate Juice 500 ml for a boost of antioxidants. Save the other 10% for later.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
5. Dinner</div>
Which ever Vegetable Kefir you have left.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTd4-qoFC4YXwRg-awSkVp4EuzT9fB7zuZw4LBKIbIPSxsdeVQT30Xu_zIt_MrAFJ4w5eX-BajOnN4Dwc9Q8wAdOk99zFaMVUop9hi-CzJLXjar1L8Yu9_n0DTFCzcUpfVB57VkaOJvGM/s1600/IMG_0376.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTd4-qoFC4YXwRg-awSkVp4EuzT9fB7zuZw4LBKIbIPSxsdeVQT30Xu_zIt_MrAFJ4w5eX-BajOnN4Dwc9Q8wAdOk99zFaMVUop9hi-CzJLXjar1L8Yu9_n0DTFCzcUpfVB57VkaOJvGM/s400/IMG_0376.jpg" width="248" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
6. Dessert </div>
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Combine the other 10% of Pomegranate Juice with the remainder of the Virgin Coconut Milk to create a deep fruity tangy pudding that's totally natural.<br /> </span></span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">The Rhythm cleanse even has a tasty dessert! Now, that's my kind of cleanse!</span></span><br /><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"></span></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Cleanse packages can be ordered online via </span> <span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="http://www.rhythmcleanse.co.uk/">www.rhythmcleanse.co.uk</a></span></span><br /><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"></span></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />The vegetable kefir drinks and range of Rhythm shots are available singly or in multi-packs in<span style="font-size: small;"> </span><a href="http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/">Wholefoods</a>, <a href="http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/">Holland and Barrett</a> and <a href="http://www.planetorganic.com/search/?name=rhythm">Planet Organic</a> and many other health food stores. </span></span></div>

I have purchased 2 dresses from <a href="http://www.chichiclothing.com/">Chi Chi</a> this Summer and after the first one I posted was so well received I thought it would be a shame not to show you the second! I wore this Nessa high neck laser cut prom dress to my friend's baby shower (blue for boy) a few weeks ago and got so many lovely compliments on it. It's so girlie and fun and completely effortless to wear!<br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;">With the typically rubbish British Summer now over I have really been struggling with the cold and wet weather. Partly, this may be because I had a lovely week in sunny Spain soaking up the heat, which meant returning to London with the subsequent 20C degree change has left me with a nasty cold, congestion and generally feeling miserably shivery. One evening, while feeling particularly horrendous, I decided to treat myself to a hot bath with MOA's Fortifying Green Bath Potion to try and give my confused body a little bit of relief.<br /><br />Just a few capfuls of this concentrated green potion created a beautiful herbal scent in my bath, like stepping into a minty pine forest on a clear day. This was just what I needed as it helped me to relax, while being very uplifting and giving me more energy. The steam from the bath helped to clear my sinuses and after just a few minutes I felt much more alive! As well as letting me breathe for the first time in a week my skin was left really soft and moisturised as the oils worked hard to nourish my dry skin.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br />I absolutely love all the natural ingredients featured in this potion including sunflower seed oil, peppermint oil, fennel oil, jojoba seed oil, yarrow extract, fir needle oil, sweet birch oil and chlorophyll. It is 100% natural and contains no parabens, perfumes, alcohol or lanolin and is not tested on animals.<br /> <br />The MOA Fortifying Green Bath Potion can be purchased </span><a href="http://www.moa.london/products/fortifying-green-bath-potion"><span style="font-family: inherit;">here</span></a><span style="font-family: inherit;"> for £27. </span></div>

I have always loved Clarins lipsticks as they have such a smooth texture, never dry out my lips and always smell delicious. I was therefore excited to hear that the <a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=2041&awinaffid=111822&clickref=&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.boots.com%2Fen%2FClarins-Joli-Rouge-Lipstick_1749812%3Fcm_mmc%3Dbmm-_-google-_-PLAs-_-Boots%2520Shopping%2520-%2520Category%2520-%2520Luxury%2520Beauty">Joli Rouge*</a> range has been revamped with a new moisture-enriched formula that comes in a beautiful new spectrum of shades!<br />
<br />
It was difficult to choose as the new colours are all super flattering, so I went for some wearable shades of pink, nude and peach.<br />

<br />
I had high expectations and these lipsticks did not disappoint! They are super creamy and smooth to apply giving just enough colour to leave your lips looking plump and glossy without feeling sticky. They have a lovely scent and last a decent amount of time given their hydrating formulation. They are perfect to pop into your handbag and reapply on the go as they are not too intense, but add just the right amount of colour and moisturise to keep your lips looking youthful. <br />

I first fell in love with Michael Kors fragrances when I tried Very Hollywood, it was such a fun, uplifting, wearable scent that it quickly became my signature for the Summer. <span style="font-family: inherit;">While I have always enjoyed using Pixi cosmetics their
skincare range has somehow passed me by until now. However, when a press release landed
in my inbox I did a little more research and after being impressed by
all the positive reviews I decided to try some Pixi skintreats for myself.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

As I have been travelling a fair bit recently (both for work and for fun) I had
quite a few blemishes popping up all over the place, as well as some older ones
that would stubbornly refuse to fade. I<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">

was excited to give this one a try to combat those stubborn spots.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

dries and sets well in that time, but doesn't feel too tight (I personally
dislike it when masks dry so much that it’s impossible to move your face).
After washing the mask off my skin felt very smooth and clean and I look

moisture to heal & protect skin while you sleep. The formula is rich in
fruit & flower oils to soothe, arginine to strengthen, and hyaluronic acid
to plump. It deeply nourishes skin and seals in any serum or treatment applied

left overnight as you feel like you are really getting all the goodness from
the mask and feeding your skin while you sleep. This mask goes on clear and has
a very emollient texture, like a rich cream. I apply it straight after
cleansing and leave it for about 10-15 minutes before going to bed to make sure
it sinks in a little (and doesn’t just come off on my pillow). In the morning I
can definitely see that my skin is really well moisturised and feels very
supple. I think this mask would make a great skin saviour on flights too as you
can cleanse and apply it straight after takeoff and be safe in the knowledge
that your skin is hydrated and protected from the yucky cabin air.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

age-defying ingredients to refresh eyes & prevent signs of fatigue.
Collagen helps to repair the delicate eye area, peptides plump fine lines, and
raspberry tones skin. The cooling rollerball applicator is designed to soothe

<div style="text-align: left;">
Over the past few weeks since returning from holiday I have been trying out the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion* (£5.10). My skin was quite dehydrated after a little sun and a number of long haul flights so it definitely needed some TLC! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEio4Xo6QnmkHGoMBfKGydc3TbXDUZ7Pibp9pFlHXoRwwpQGy1FGsNtl2fMLppRxpwJYC5GB3aplPWK4qFwi-VejfstV8zNXS6OoGJOip6laoP0g5KuCcXa6xdU0uPZOMC-4hA5IovCFt1o/s1600/IMG_0318.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEio4Xo6QnmkHGoMBfKGydc3TbXDUZ7Pibp9pFlHXoRwwpQGy1FGsNtl2fMLppRxpwJYC5GB3aplPWK4qFwi-VejfstV8zNXS6OoGJOip6laoP0g5KuCcXa6xdU0uPZOMC-4hA5IovCFt1o/s400/IMG_0318.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This lotion has a very smooth texture and sinks into the skin quickly, making it perfect for a swift application in the morning before showering so you can get dressed right away - because who has time to wait around in the morning anyway? Despite feeling light it still provides great hydration and leaves your skin soft and smooth.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The lotion contains active colloidal oatmeal, which is clinically proven to help improve the condition of dry skin from day one. It is also clinically proven to go beyond 24 hour hydration and replenish the skin's natural barrier function to significantly improve the condition of dry skin in just 2 weeks. I have definitely noticed the skin on my legs, which was particularly dry and uncomfortable, feeling much smoother and looking a lot more healthy over the last few weeks. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
My little skincare secret is to apply it straight after a bath or shower to lock in extra moisture. My friend @vonnekhoo always has the best skincare tips so I would love to tag her to share her secrets! </div>

Tatoos have never really been my thing, I love them on other people, but the permanence was always an issue as I like to change my mind, my style and just about everything else! However, after spotting the new boho metallic/ flash versions all over my Instagram I decided to give them a tentative try when <a href="http://www.inyour-dreams.com/">In Your Dreams</a> contacted me to offer a sample.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGzrNma-zPWloa4Xc8IkmeCnX5QtKTSnZpB4NxToVjvPl3RtyYSPMV40P1IHGHXtRzCYx5SjF9X7jPEgknAVu3oEs7LM6nFLBFsRbEJd58qPOh4Kc3Oc0RzziATF-giSieE_9dGoCvIQA/s1600/MAYAN_ARTWORK__68899.1431964922.500.750.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGzrNma-zPWloa4Xc8IkmeCnX5QtKTSnZpB4NxToVjvPl3RtyYSPMV40P1IHGHXtRzCYx5SjF9X7jPEgknAVu3oEs7LM6nFLBFsRbEJd58qPOh4Kc3Oc0RzziATF-giSieE_9dGoCvIQA/s400/MAYAN_ARTWORK__68899.1431964922.500.750.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
As soon as they arrived I was so excited I immediately got the scissors out to try them on and I have to say I love them. In a way they take me back to my childhood of buying bubblegum just so I could wear the temporary tattoos that came in the wrapper. I have a vivid memory of having one around my belly button that I thought was just the coolest thing ever and wishing I could be 18 and make it permanent.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6UyG7qJs7Xwv07uWeOMwf6DSdctVkvdUtzBHcMklZYQh9FW7SBXdoRdeeZxDbWO1YO4zNuR3qEqxSul6oxsRzkv-_GIT3FZsf4rRAnNx5n-V3cXrIgHgWi6_OnELOgpsAc1f20CCtAiA/s1600/IMG_0293.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="270" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6UyG7qJs7Xwv07uWeOMwf6DSdctVkvdUtzBHcMklZYQh9FW7SBXdoRdeeZxDbWO1YO4zNuR3qEqxSul6oxsRzkv-_GIT3FZsf4rRAnNx5n-V3cXrIgHgWi6_OnELOgpsAc1f20CCtAiA/s320/IMG_0293.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
The foiled tattoos from <a href="http://www.inyour-dreams.com/">In Your Dreams</a> are a much more grown up and classy version. I was sent the <a href="http://www.inyour-dreams.com/mayan/">Mayan collection</a> (£5) and I have tried out quite a few of them - the skinny ones like a bracelet over the wrist, on the inside of my wrist, on my ankle, hip and back (thank you to my hubby for patiently holding the soaked cotton wool to make sure they transferred neatly). They were so easy to apply and lasted a decent amount of time, depending in the placement.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQ5yrshdbQV28DgvpA3KNZXeKVHIKtuh1MY8z6m0Hlx68c2SoERJRuPimBXUYBXfLPsnnQLSyvwKXPTSA6DpW6TvIgTCwJFcR-kdqYt7V0OKakDhsYsBq4GpE99ACTusuW_ERE6fsx3_0/s1600/IMG_0296.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="276" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQ5yrshdbQV28DgvpA3KNZXeKVHIKtuh1MY8z6m0Hlx68c2SoERJRuPimBXUYBXfLPsnnQLSyvwKXPTSA6DpW6TvIgTCwJFcR-kdqYt7V0OKakDhsYsBq4GpE99ACTusuW_ERE6fsx3_0/s320/IMG_0296.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
As I wear a watch on one wrist and a fitbit on the other the 'bracelet' ones only lasted two days, but the one on my hip has been going strong for over a week (and was fun to explain to a sixty year old doctor when he was doing my routine Bupa health assessment lol)! They add just that little bit of fun and catch the light in such a beautiful way! They are perfect for festivals and on the beach, but even having one in a subtle place always makes me smile when I see it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0fT8BFSj1eOobUhyphenhyphenstP11K4IyvCofa94wJ7huPcd11_dRGCb6uTX7BjS8aMV8-IIIpdm-PY4NFeN0D1E3ZVE5NrGPqAwS11gEDjTyVA5-IxNxkMbNpKpgJBJRWasmV2DvTyYeQlhNImc/s1600/2015-golden-tatto-body-art-4pcs-metallic-temporary-tattoo-jewelry-bracelet-flash-tattoo-gold-tatoo-henna.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0fT8BFSj1eOobUhyphenhyphenstP11K4IyvCofa94wJ7huPcd11_dRGCb6uTX7BjS8aMV8-IIIpdm-PY4NFeN0D1E3ZVE5NrGPqAwS11gEDjTyVA5-IxNxkMbNpKpgJBJRWasmV2DvTyYeQlhNImc/s320/2015-golden-tatto-body-art-4pcs-metallic-temporary-tattoo-jewelry-bracelet-flash-tattoo-gold-tatoo-henna.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Have you tried metallic tattoos? The Summer isn't over yet so I would definitely recommend giving them a go!</div>

With the heatwave we have been experiencing in London appropriate workwear has been tricky. I commute by tube each day so I am very sympathetic with most Londoners sweltering underground. However, at times like these the temperature in the office is arctic as the aircon desperately tries to overcompensate and ensure that the guys in their 3 piece suits are catered for. I therefore wanted to share some outfits from the last week of how I dress for work and try to remain professional (and not look like I'm off to the beach), but still comfortable.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
The first dress I have been loving is a sale purchase from Ted Baker. It's very comfortable and though it has a lining the fabric is pretty stretchy so it never feels tight. The pattern is very Summery, but the demure length still makes it office appropriate.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This outfit is super comfortable and easy to wear. The floaty fabric is cool, but the length of the skirt makes it work appropriate and traditional.<br />

The last outfit is a super comfortable dress from Reiss. It's light, but not at all see through. It moulds effortlessly to your shape and the side detail is very flattering skimming the contours of your body. It's not too short or too low for the office, but is not at all restrictive.</div>

Over the last month I have been slathering myself with lots of different tans in the hope of achieving the perfect glow that I could recommend to you all. Today, with the sun shining in London, I wanted to write about two gradual tan offerings from St Tropez that I have really enjoyed!<br />
<br />
First up is the <a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=2041&awinaffid=111822&clickref=&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.boots.com%2Fen%2FSt.Tropez-Everyday-Gradual-Tan-Body-Light%2FMedium-200ml_37679%2F%3Fcm_mmc%3Dpla-_-google-_-PLAs-_-Boots%2BShopping%2B-%2BCategory%2B-%2BToiletries">St Tropez Everyday Gradual Tan</a>. I used the light/medium version all over my body to give me a bit of colour. The cream feels very luxurious on application as it is rich and applies easily and smoothly. It doesn't have a strong scent, but there is a tiny bit of the 'fake tan' smell as the tan develops, though it is very subtle. This lotion is super moisturising and I loved applying it all over my body after my shower before bed, just like any other moisturiser. In the morning my skin had a nice tan and felt very soft and smooth. It developed a good colour after applying it two days in a row and afterwards every other day to keep the tan in place. This gradual tanner is so easy and pretty much fool proof as I applied it very quickly without much effort and it still gave me a really even tan! <br />

The <a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=2041&awinaffid=111822&clickref=&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.boots.com%2Fen%2FSt-Tropez-Gradual-Tan-Plus-Firming-4-in-1-Lotion-150ml_1258621%2F">St Tropez Gradual Tan Plus Firming 4 in 1 Lotion</a> is designed to tan, tone, firm and moisturise your body. It provides a very similar level of tan to the gradual tan above, but the cream has a much lighter texture. A little definitely goes a long way with this lotion so I have been using it in the morning to add a bit more colour to my limbs. The lotion also has a really pleasant scent that masks any fake tan smell so it's perfect for use any time!<br />

I would highly recommend both of these formulations as they feel luxurious while hydrating the skin and achieve an effortless, gradual glow that requires very little maintenance! </div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">Last week the hubby and I attended the Magdalene College White Tie May Ball in Cambridge. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will see these posts pop up every two years. I love sharing these experiences with you all, especially when there is an opportunity to dress up! It’s funny to think that this year will be 10 years since we matriculated and here we are back again still feeling (and behaving) like teenagers.</span></div>

Of course the material of these types of dresses is always quite thin so you can see every contour, making a tactical choice of underwear a must!<br />

For makeup I did a very simple smokey eye using the <a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=3100&awinaffid=111822&clickref=&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.houseoffraser.co.uk%2FUrban%2BDecay%2BNaked%2B3%2BPalette%2F193400614%2Cdefault%2Cpd.html">Naked 3 palette</a> from Urban Decay. I made sure that the look lasted all night by using a really long lasting foundation (Mac Studio Fix) and setting it all carefully with powder (I used a combination of MAC MSF natural and ELF Mineral Glow powder). I finished the look off with false lashes from Eyelure (<a href="http://www.awin1.com/cread.php?awinmid=2041&awinaffid=111822&clickref=&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.boots.com%2Fen%2FEylure-Cheryl-lashes-Girls-Night_1623430%2F">Cheryl Girls Night style</a>).</div>

<span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Hair really is like fabric. It’s made
up of dead cells that can’t be repaired. The most effective way of achieving
healthy hair is simply by preventing it’s fibre from being damaged in the first
place. HIF is designed to be akin to dry cleaning for hair….only with water!<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">The HIF range of 15 Cleansing
Conditioners has been formulated to fully cleanse using Fractionated Cleansing
Particles that do not strip the natural oils from the hair and scalp. The
unique particles bind only to dirt and leave the hair fabric alone. This allows
for all impurities to be fully removed and rinsed away without stripping or
damaging the hair. </span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">A first-ever Fabric Depositing
Technology has also been included to deliver next-generation active ingredients
effectively to the deepest parts of the hair. This technology is used in
the textile world to deposit dyes into fabrics and stop them from being rinsed
away through consistent washing. Most haircare products target only the cuticle,
leaving a superficial healthy look, but no long-term benefits. HIF’s delivery
technology allows actives to remain anchored to the cuticle, even through
washing, thus facilitating the penetration of ingredients into the deepest
parts of the hair. Thanks to nourishing and conditioning ingredients such as
Hyaluronic Acid, Exotic Oils and Precious Rock extracts hair will become
stronger, shinier and smoother with each and every wash. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

different formulations so you can really target your hair’s needs. I chose the
<a href="http://tidd.ly/bd53248">Red Hue Support</a> (as red is the most tricky colour to maintain) and <a href="http://tidd.ly/5e404f41">Anti-Frizz Support</a> to try to keep my hair under control during these humid Summer days. These
cleansing conditioners do not foam, but feel very rich and creamy. Personally,
I don’t mind the lack of foam as I simply wet my hair, massage the conditioner
through and leave it for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">The<a href="http://tidd.ly/bd53248"> Red Hue Support</a> was very red when
it came out of the tube. As my hair is long I felt like I had to use a lot to
saturate the hair on my first wash, but this may be a testament to how
dehydrated my hair was as it seemed to suck up all the product. It did take a
while to rinse out the conditioner as it is very pigmented and I did feel that
some deposits were left on my hair so it felt a little heavier than usual, but
the colour looked visibly better. The next time I used it I applied less to the
root area and this prevented my hair from being weighed down, but still gave
the benefits of hydration and kept my colour vibrant.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Having a doctor as a husband and being interested in science
and health myself new research is always a welcome topic in my
household! </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">After years of tummy pains (all my friends will confirm how much
fun I can be to travel with) I was tested for allergies and
intolerances and subsequently have tried to reduce certain foods in my diet that I
have been deemed intolerant to (mainly dairy and gluten/grains). I have written
before about my success with the Paleo lifestyle, but honestly it’s not
something that I can keep up 100% of the time. If I was able to work from home
and prepare all my own meals I think it would be much easier, but alas with
work, travel and inevitably socialising it becomes very difficult to be
restrictive. Most of the time I just hate being a pain or sounding rude so will
eat things I know I really shouldn’t as I don’t want to offend… though other times
it is just because I’m in a bad mood and want ice cream!<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIeixoN6IKzsAfrMUNCjnSQRd9CICO-Fn03AHTqU5eYnoubghCP9k5EXbYeivfpexxgaauHBuhBYoqn7ccpXJAKMjheeG2YTIpdlTmkjttKvXfPDGgk8-2zNaqP6rrJOmMSdwgsiPN6kI/s1600/untitled.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIeixoN6IKzsAfrMUNCjnSQRd9CICO-Fn03AHTqU5eYnoubghCP9k5EXbYeivfpexxgaauHBuhBYoqn7ccpXJAKMjheeG2YTIpdlTmkjttKvXfPDGgk8-2zNaqP6rrJOmMSdwgsiPN6kI/s1600/untitled.png" /></a></span></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Recently I have seen a lot of articles popping up about gut
health and ‘friendly bacteria’ in the mainstream press. There’s a lot of differing
evidence (which my husband would be very happy for me to cite, but I know most people
would skip over), but ultimately imbalances in gut flora have been linked to
all manner of complications from serious illness following prolonged antibiotic
use to acne (see this month’s issue of </span><a href="http://www.womenshealthmag.co.uk/"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Women’s Health</span></a><span style="font-family: inherit;">), </span><a href="http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-gut-bacteria-help-make-us-fat-and-thin/"><span style="font-family: inherit;">weight gain</span></a><span style="font-family: inherit;"> and even
</span><a href="https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/evolutionary-psychiatry/201206/do-probiotics-help-anxiety"><span style="font-family: inherit;">shyness</span></a><span style="font-family: inherit;">! </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
Being a stickler for rigorous trials my husband is more sceptical about probiotics. However, I personally believe as I have been reducing
some foods in my diet due to limiting my dairy intake (eg. yoghurt) it is worth
trying to restore balance and aid my poor tummy in any way I can. Along with
increasing my consumption of fermented foods such as kefir (I have been trying
a <a href="http://www.planetorganic.com/rhythm-pure-coconut-kefir-126g-126g/19691/">coconut milk based one sold in Whole Foods</a>) and Kombucha (fermented tea) I
have also started taking </span><a href="http://www.provenprobiotics.co.uk/"><span style="font-family: inherit;">ProVen Probiotics</span></a><span style="font-family: inherit;">.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span lang="EN" style="mso-ansi-language: EN;"><a href="http://www.provenprobiotics.co.uk/products/all/adult-acidophilus-and-bifidus-25-billion/"><span style="font-family: inherit;">ProVen Adult Acidophilus and Bifidus 25 Billion</span></a><span style="font-family: inherit;">* contains </span><a href="http://www.lab4probiotics.co.uk/"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Lab4</span></a><span style="font-family: inherit;">, the most comprehensively
studied group of friendly bacteria of any product in the U.K. These studies
conducted in Cambridge, Sheffield, Swansea, Southampton and Cardiff suggest
that ProVen Adult Acidophilus and Bifidus 25 Billion provides real benefits in
supporting digestive and immune health. As well as 12.5 billion viable cells
per capsule they also contain Vitamin D3, C, Calcium, Zinc and Selenium.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; text-align: left;">
<span lang="EN" style="mso-ansi-language: EN;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">So far they have
been really easy to take (some vitamins make me feel a bit queasy). I have
been taking one or two capsules after my breakfast each morning and even if it
is just a placebo effect feel like my tummy is happier already! Either way I am very happy to undertake this experiment on myself and see if I feel a difference!</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Have you ever tried taking Probiotics? What are your thoughts on them?</span></div>
